Velobagworks is a project offering handmade tool rolls for cyclists.
The emphasis here is on an alternative to the mainstream, something a bit different from the rest. Designs are both simple and stylish and often draw on a more traditional look and feel. These are not mass-produced bags churned out of factories in far-flung parts of the world. My bags are made individually on a 1922 Singer sewing machine that doesn't even have a plug. It takes a bit more time, but I enjoy the process and that's the point really.
I use a variety of materials selected to give some protection from the typical British weather. Some are made from a Cordura1000D canvas that's PU backed. I also make bags from heavyweight cotton canvas. This is then hand treated with a Greenland style wax made from bees wax and paraffin wax to enhance the fabrics resistance to the elements.
All the items are available in my Etsy shop. Everything is made here in Devon, by hand, one at a time. I hope you like what you see. Thanks for looking.
